About the Artist

Annie Lee Carroll is a Taiwanese American designer from Chicago, Illinois. She is fluent in both Mandarin and English. At a young age, she taught herself how to draw and paint, later translating her skills into digital design. She is currently studying to receive her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design at DePaul University in spring of 2022.

Since 2018, Annie has worked three jobs while also balancing school, marathon-training, boxing, community involvement and many other activities. She has shown her work in many events, such as Chicago’s Chinatown Fair, The Chicago Howard Chalk Fest, and Haibayo’s Argyle Activation Festival. Her work is also currently displayed in DePaul’s APIDA (Asian Pacific Islander Desi American) Center and Side Practice Coffee in Ravenswood. While she is a hard-working creator, designing will never be seen as work to her. It is a way for her to express herself, and connect with her community.

Currently Annie is freelancing, working on projects for clients such as Vic Mensa, Save Money Save Life, Now and Later, Adidas, and more. She hopes to continue working on projects that challenge her to expand her style as a designer, and grow her passion for community-building and the arts.
